2018 has arguably been an eventful year and to shed light on some of the trending topics, Google has released its Year In Review 2018.
The year began with the release of “Black Panther” in January. The superhero flick took the cinematic world by a storm. It even managed to beat Avengers: Infinity War in terms of search by securing the first position in most searched movies list.
The year 2018 also marked the loss of iconic figures. The death of Stephen Hawkings earlier this year was a great loss to the world. The EDM fans’ heart skipped a beat when the beloved Avicii passed away and the fact that his death was speculated to be a suicide perhaps increased the searches.
The later months was all about the Royal Wedding and the Royal bride — Meghan Markle was the biggest highlight making her feature in the top ten searches of 2018.
