During the event, Xiaomi will unveil all the amazing features that are coming in the MIUI 12 update. We will also get to know about the MIUI 12 global roll-out schedule.
It will most likely be similar to the MIUI 12 China ROM roll-out schedule, only the list of supported devices will also include Xiaomi devices launched exclusively in the global market.
If we were to guess, the first batch supporting the MIUI 12 update would include the new models, such as the POCO series (Poco X2 and Poco F2 Pro), Mi 10, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi Note Pro Max as well as high-end Redmi K20 series.
Since the Xiaomi devices sold in India also run the MIUI global version, tomorrow’s event will also be important for MIUI 12 India fans.

MIUI 12 features: What to expect?
If you haven’t gone through our list of MIUI 12 features, then here is the gist of the things that you will see at tomorrow’s MIUI 12 event —
This time, Xiaomi has made an insane amount of additions to its Android skin, starting with new animations for nearly everything. From 3D animations in the several Settings app pages to the new battery icons, new animation for opening and closing apps, for recent apps, and a lot more. Not to mention Dynamic Wallpaper: realistic weather animations in the form of a time-lapse movie.
The MIUI 12 update will also include a revamped Dark Mode with support for more apps and inclusion of the Wallpaper Dimming: a feature that simulates the gradual light transition from day to night on the new wallpaper.
Let’s not forget about the mind-blowing Super Wallpaper feature that brings 3D animated live wallpapers of Earth and Mars onto the device’s home screen.
When it comes to privacy, Xiaomi has gone one step ahead of Android 10. Other than the “Allow Once” location permission feature, MIUI 12 will come with “App behavior records” – a feature that keeps a log of apps accessing Android permissions and notifies whenever an app tries to meddle with sensitive actions.
Other features will include the Android 10 navigation gestures, a sleep tracker, floating windows, new animations in Always-On Display, changes in the Camera app, and more.
People who are unwilling to wait for the OTA update can try out the MIUI 12 China beta version. However, you will need to flash the device manually.
