MIUI 12 Beta Testers Program Is Live In India: Here Is How To Apply

Today, Xiaomi has started recruiting Mi fans in India for its MIUI 12 Pilot Testers program. Owners of Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro only are eligible to become an MIUI 12 Beta tester for now.

On the global front, users in the procession of Mi9, Mi9T, and Mi9 pro are eligible to participate in the program. According to Xiaomi, more devices will support the beta program after the MIUI 12 Global launch.

Xiaomi announced the next-generation MIUI 12, a few days back, at an event in China. It comes with many unique and exciting features, including 3D animated Super Wallpaper, new privacy tools, new animations and UI changes, Android 10 navigation gestures, and more.

The MIUI 12 update will start rolling out, to the first batch of devices, by the end of June. Users whose Xiaomi devices have been left out from the MIUI 12 Pilot program can unofficially try out the MIUI 12 China Beta ROM.

How to apply for MIUI 12 Beta program?

  1. To become an MIUI 12 beta tester in India, you first need to download the Telegram app and join the MIUI Global Stable Beta Testing Recruitment Group by clicking on this link.
  2. After that, you need to fill out this google forum where your knowledge of unlocking Xiaomi devices and ROM installation will be tested. Global users can apply from here.
  3. Once you have filled the forum correctly, Xiaomi will select a few users for the final list of MIUI 12 beta testers.

Before applying, you need to make sure that you have an account on the Mi community. Also, your device is updated to the latest version of MIUI. The last date to apply for MIUI 12 beta testing program is 14th May.

Bear in mind these will be pre-release builds of MIUI 12, which means they will contain bugs and glitches. Also, once you participate, you cannot post about the new changes anywhere. The last date to register for the MIUI 12 pilot program is 15th May.

MIUI 12 Global ROM

There is no conclusive information on the release of the MIUI 12 global version, one that will arrive on Xiaomi devices in India.

Recently, Xiaomi’s official twitter account promised to reveal the MIUI 12 Global release date once an MIUI 12 post has been re-tweeted 3K times. The Twitter post has long crossed the 3k re-tweet threshold, but the company is yet to fulfill its promise.

Poco Global head hinted MIUI 12 Global launch would be in July; however, Xiaomi is yet to confirm it officially.
