The update includes the security fix for the critical remote code execution bug reported in Adobe Flash Player earlier this month. The fix was rolled out last week, but it finds a place in the cumulative updates. Additionally, Adobe has also released security fixes for their products including Reader, Acrobat, and the enterprise CMS software Adobe Experience Manager.
Microsoft has also added the vaccines for two talked about critical illnesses affecting MS Outlook: CVE-2018-0850 (Elevation of Privilege) and CVE-2018-0852 (Remote Code Execution). For Edge browser, the update includes 11 security patches to address various memory corruption bugs.
The latest update applies to Fall Creators Update (Windows 10 1709, Build 16299.248), Creators Update (Windows 10 1703, Build 15063.909), Anniversary Update (Windows 10 1607, Build 14393.2068), and Windows 10 1511 (Build 10586.1417).
The cumulative update is also available for older Windows versions including Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. As always the updates are available via Windows Update or Microsoft Update Catalog for manual download.
