Lenovo has unveiled the much-rumored Z5s and the Z5 Pro GT smartphones of its Z series in China. The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT is officially the world’s first smartphone with Snapdragon 855 SoC in it. The company also unveiled the S5 Pro GT alongside.
Here is a quick specification review of each smartphone:
Lenovo Z5 Pro GT
The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT is the first smartphone to be shipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor which also serves as its USP. It comes with a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display and a slider design.
On the camera front, there is a dual-camera setup (24MP Sony IMX576 and 16MP Sony IMX519) and another duo at the front, rated at 16MP and 8MP. Additionally, the cameras come with AI-based features.
The device comes in three RAM/ROM options– 6GB/128GB (for CNY 2,698), 8GB/256GB (for CNY 2,998), and the massive 12GB/512GB (for CNY 4,398).
The smartphone is backed by a 3,350mAh battery and runs Android 9.0 Pie. Furthermore, it comes with Face Unlock feature, in-display fingerprint scanner, but it lacks a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Lenovo Z5 Pro GT will be up for pre-orders in China starting January 15.
Lenovo Z5s
Coming to the Lenovo Z5s, the smartphone’s main highlight is the 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a water drop notch and an aspect ratio rated at 19:5:9.
The second highlight is the triple camera on the rear side (rated at 16MP, 8MP, and 5MP) whereas the selfie camera is of 16 MP.
The smartphone is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor and comes in three RAM/ROM variants: 4GB/64GB (for CNY 1,398), 6GB/64GB (for CNY 1,598), and 6GB/128GB (for CNY 1,898). It is backed by a 3,300mAh battery and runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie.
Additionally, the Lenovo Z5s comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, P2i splash-resistant coating, and will be available in Honey Orange, Gray and Titanium Crystal Blue color options.
The Lenovo Z5s is now up for pre-orders and will be available to buy, starting December 24 in China.
Lenovo S5 Pro GT
Lastly, the Lenovo S5 Pro GT, successor to the S5 Pro has a 6.2-inch display with a notch.
It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and comes in three RAM/ROM configurations: 4GB/64GB (for CNY 1,198), 6GB/64GB (for CNY 1,298), and 6GB/128GB (for CNY 1,498).
Camera-wise, there are two snappers at the back (12MP and 20MP) and two at the front (20MP and 8MP).
Furthermore, it is backed by a 3,500mAh battery, but it still runs Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone has a fingerprint scanner and supports Face Unlock feature too.
The Lenovo S5 Pro GT will be available, starting December 24 in China.
