iPhone SE 2 Launching in Q1 2020 At $399 Price: Report

Thanks to the renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, we finally have all the details related to the upcoming iPhone SE 2.

The iPhone, which will reportedly look very similar to the iPhone 8, is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2020. According to Kuo, iPhone SE 2 will be priced at $399.

The pricing seems reasonable since the first generation iPhone SE sold at $349 before going out of the production. Secondly, Apple is selling iPhone 8 for a starting price of $449. Talking about iPhone 8, speculations are that Apple will stop the production of iPhone 8 soon after the release of the iPhone SE 2.

iPhone SE Specifications

As for the specifications, the iPhone SE 2 will include the A13 Bionic chip, same as iPhone 11. However, there will be a downgrade in every other aspect to balance the lower price such as 3 GB RAM, less battery, small screen size and more.

Rumours also say that iPhone SE will sport a screen size of 4.7-inch — same as the iPhone 8. This will surely be a pleaser for iPhone fans who have a fondness for the famous 4-inch form factor of Apple iPhones.

The iPhone SE 2 will arrive in 64GB and 128GB options. Color options will include Space Gray, Silver and Red. There will be no 3D Touch as Apple is moving forward to discontinue the feature entirely.

The biggest feature of iPhone SE 2 is that it will come with iOS 13 out of the box, making it the cheapest Apple product with the latest iOS version.

Naturally, it will be a popular upgrade among the iPhone 6/6S users who want to switch to another Apple product while ensuring that they don’t end up putting a hole in their pockets.
