According to a leak by PCBuildersClub, Intel’s latest 9th Generation Coffee Lake Refresh processors are expected to arrive next month. Along with the release date, the rumors have also given away from the specifications to the upcoming edition of Intel CPUs including SKUs.

Developed to compete with AMD’s 2nd Generation Ryzen CPUs, Intel Coffee Refresh processors will be the company’s first 8-core CPU options for mainstream computers. Processors for high-end desktops (HEDT) and server CPU lines are already available beyond 8 cores.

Going by the rumors, Intel is set to announce the refreshed Coffee Lake 9th generation processors for LGA 1151 platform on August 1. However, it has been speculated that this will be the day when the processors and their specifications will be announced, and a few chips will be launched; the launch of the complete series might take some time.

According to previous reports, three high-end CPUs belonging to this series are:

  • Intel Core i9-9900K (8 core/16 thread)
  • Intel Core i7-9700K (6 core/12 thread)
  • Intel Core i5 -9600K (6 core/6 thread)

Anonymous sources have revealed that the CPUs will have “significantly higher clock speeds.” It has also been rumored that a soldered 6-core CPU with Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS) is also on the table which can reach the overclocking speeds of up to 5.5 GHz.

With August 1 just two weeks away, it is not a very long time until we get all the specifications of Intel Coffee Lake Refresh 9th Generation CPUs.
