Huawei’s MWC 2019 event is just around the corner, wherein the company is expected to introduce its first foldable smartphone.

But hours ahead of the launch, the company’s MWC 2019 banner has been leaked, revealing more about the foldable device.

According to a tweet by a user named “@gimme2pm”, Huawei’s foldable smartphone is likely to be christened the Mate X.

As per the banner, the device will fold outwards, converting one large flexible display into a small one, as opposed to the recent Samsung Galaxy Fold’s folding method which folds inwards much like a book.

While details regarding Huawei’s foldable device are still behind the veil, the smartphone is speculated to be a mixture of the foldable concept as well as 5G, as it could be 5G-ready.

Additionally, the smartphone could be powered by the company’s Kirin processor, featuring thin bezels.

Apart from the foldable device, Huawei is likely to talk more about 5G and could unveil a 5G smartphone as well.

However, to know what all Huawei serves on our plates, we need to wait until Huawei’s event, scheduled for February 24 in Barcelona at 8 am EST (6:30 pm IST).

So, stay tuned to Fossbytes for more details.
