While Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase at E3 2021 was definitely a hit, it’s not the only thing Bethesda has in store for players. Of all the exciting news at E3, these free-to-play announcements can sometimes be overlooked. Well, Bethesda is giving away Fallout 76 to play for free until June 16, and yes, it is the entire game and not just a chunk of it.
Fallout 76 is an online action role-playing game by Bethesda and is the 9th installment in the Fallout series. Moreover, Fallout 1st, a DLC for Fallout 76, is also available till June 16. If you haven’t heard of Fallout 1st, it’s an optional membership add-on for the game.
However, if you’re new to the game, Bethesda even has a beginner’s guide for you.
How to play Fallout 76 for free with Fallout 1st DLC/
PC players can head over to Steam for the thrill of this game till June 16. After which, it can only be availed after downloading the game.
Those who find themselves spending time in Fallout 76 should definitely get Fallout 1st. The add-on gets some exclusive perks, including a scrap box, 1650 atoms per month, fast travel points – survival tent, private worlds, and emotes.
Interestingly, once the free trial ends, the materials that players would craft will be saved. They would still be able to remove scrap from the scrap box gained via Fallout 1st. However, players will not be able to add anything new to it.
“For the duration of Free Play Week, you can also get a taste of what it’s like to join Fallout 1st with the Fallout 1st Limited Preview. All you have to do is log in between June 10–16 and claim the Fallout 1st Limited Preview in the Atomic Shop for free,” Bethesda said.
Fallout 76 is free to play till June 16, and don’t worry; your progress will not be lost if you end up buying the game.
