Huawei sub-brand Honor is increasing sales at such a speed, that it’s becoming nearly difficult for premium brands like iPhone and Google to keep up with the losing market. Now, the company has launched another horse in the never-ending race — Honor 8X.

The Honor device which in a nutshell is a “powerhouse of speed” starts at a price of INR 14,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant. The 6GB+64GB variant will be available at INR 16,999, and the 6GB+128GB variant will be available at INR 18,999. Honor 8X is going exclusive on Amazon from 24th Oct. onwards for its Indian consumers.

Honor 8X Specs and Colors

Starting with the screen; the device comes with a massive 6.5-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD, coupled with a resolution of  2340 x 1080 and a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio. It holds a notch at the top which is a little smaller than the iPhone XS one.

Surprisingly, the design enough sets the device apart, even from the premium device. Honor 8X comes with a distinctive “double texture aurora glass” finish, along with a vertical band running down the left. Color options include blue, red, and black.

As for the hardware, the device comes with HiSilicon’s Kirin 710 chipset which makes Honor 8X the second Honor device to hold that chip. Kirin 710 is particularly special because of 12mm Cortex-A73 — it is Huawei’s assurance for the ultimate performance.

The camera is always a major part of smartphone and Honor 8X completely justifies the camera specs to the price range. The device carries a dual 20MP + 2MP cameras at the back which come along with some AI camera features. Then, there is a 16MP front-facing camera for all the selfies and beauty shots.

Lastly, Honor device works on EMUI 8.2 which, in other words, Android 8.1 Oreo. Most likely, it will be one of the few Honor devices to get Android Pie soon.
