HBO Hacked AGAIN: Twitter And Facebook Accounts Of HBO & GOT Defaced

After beating the hackers in the Game of Leaks by leaking the next unaired GOT episode, HBO has encountered another embarrassing moment. This time, the Time Warner-owned network’s social media accounts were hacked.

The notorious group OurMine was the acting force responsible for the defacing. For those who don’t know, OurMine is a self-proclaimed security group that keeps “testing” the security of tech companies. In the past, OurMine has taken our social media accounts of Marvel, Google, and Netflix.

At about 8 PM PT, the hackers posted a message on Facebook and Twitter accounts of HBO. The message read, “Hi, OurَMiَne are here, we are just testing your security, HBO team please contact us to upgrade the security – ourmine .org -> Contact.”

OurMine was also able to take control of Twitter account of Game of Thrones. However, HBO was quick to remove the traces and take back the control, according to Variety.

These attacks conducted by OurMine only deal with showing their capabilities and they refrain themselves from leaking any protected information.

There are also thin changes this social media hack could be coordinated with the ongoing Game of Thrones Season 7 leak and HBO hack.

HBO is certainly dealing with a lot these days. What are your thoughts? Are hackers going to stop, or they’d soon leak Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 7?
