Rockstar has published a new image on its official website, and fans think that the company is teasing GTA 6 theme with the artwork. The image sparked the rumor that GTA 6 will be based in the 90s and that Rockstar is planning to announce the game really soon.
The design published on the website showcases a robotic woman cuddling the Rockstar’s logo. But nobody is focusing on the robotic woman.
On the left side of the robotic woman is a bottle of champaign in an ice bucket. A label on the top of the bottle has 1998 written on it, and this has sparked the rumor that we are going back to the 90s in Grand Theft Auto 6.

Is Rockstar Games, in reality, teasing the announcement of GTA 6 with this artwork? And the year mentioned on the bottle mean that GTA 6 will be set in the 90s?
Well, 1998 was the year when Rockstar Games came into existence. So, the date mentioned on the label is to pay homage to the company’s roots, and not to tease the GTA 6 theme.
Grand Theft Auto fans are indeed desperate to hear anything on GTA 6. However, Rockstar is still making big bucks through GTA 5 DLC content. So, the company is under no rush to release GTA 6 soon.
But that doesn’t mean that Rockstar Games isn’t working on the next Grand Theft Auto installment. There have been various rumors speculating that we’ll see GTA 6 during fall 2021.
