Google has sent out invites for an event in India on September 15. It is not clear that what announcement will be made but speculations are being made and they point only in ‘One’ direction.
It is expected that Google will officially launch its first Android One devices. The invites show colorful cryptic squares in the right side of the image. They mean something or not, it’d be unveiled on September 15 itself.
The invite says, “Block your date for an exciting new announcement from Google”.
Android One was announced back in June at Google I/O and Indian mobile companies like Karbonn, Micromax, and Spice were the confirmed launch partners. Since then some more companies have reportedly come aboard. Android One devices which will be launched are expected to run Android One software which has been specifically built by Google.
The motto of Android One’s launch is to bring the latest Android version’s experience to the lower most segment. These Android One phones are expected to cost under $100.
