Google has announced its first smartphone of 2020 in the name of Pixel 4A. As you might already know, it’s the refreshed version of the ‘A’ series Pixel devices that Google introduced last year.

In addition to Pixel 4A, Google has announced the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4A (5G) as well. However, these devices will arrive in the fall of 2020.

Pixel 4A Specifications: What’s inside the budget Pixel?

Google has made efforts to make the Pixel 4A competitive enough to stand in the mid-budget segment. Here are the features that are offered by Pixel 4A:

After seeing the Pixel 4A specifications, it’s clear that the device has many features to please its user base. For instance, the Pixel 4A comes with more RAM, retains the 3.5mm jack, and now includes a faster USB 3.1 port for speedy data transfers.

Google has priced the device at $349 in an attempt to put it against the recently launched iPhone SE 2020 and others. Still, Apple’s offering leads in terms of features by offering Qi wireless charging, and way more powerful A13 SoC under the hood. However, the Pixel 4A can score some extra points for a denser display, among other areas.

One area where Google seems too stubborn to upgrade is the video frame rate. The Pixel 4A offers 4K recording but caps the frame rate at 30fps. Hopefully, that should change to save the declining popularity of its devices. Nowadays, 60fps in kind of standard on the devices of $400 price range.

Pixel 4A is up for pre-order in the US and will be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Japan, Italy, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.
