Until now, we already have a good idea about what we don’t like in Google Pixel 3 XL. We know about big, ugly notch that the device holds; we know about its glass back which gets scratched in almost an instant.

Now, it appears like there is another reason why we shouldn’t buy Google Pixel 3 XL right now. Many users have reported sound issues in the Google device. Users over Twitter and Reddit seem to be facing some kind of distorted and even buzzing at times through the stereo speaks of the Pixel device.

At first, it looked like the problem resides only in a number of devices. However, @ArtemR from Android Police believes that it not “some” but rather “all” Google Pixel 3 XL users who have been affected by this bug. Since his post, a lot of Pixel 3 XL owners have come forward who happens to be going through the same pain.

Pointing out the issue, a Reddit user wrote: “I hear a crazy amount of buzzing. It sounds like there’s an angry robot bee trapped in the bottom of my phone, doing it’s best to hum along with the music.”

The sound bug doesn’t seem to be app specific. Few users have complained that their Google Play Music app, even the Google Assistant is playing the same buzzing sound.

Earlier, many people reported sound imbalance in the two volume outputs of Pixel 3 XL. To this Google responded, “This is by design. We specially designed speakers that allow for louder sound (40% louder than last year) and better low-frequency response.”

Pixels are well-known for their hardware and software issues at the table. Last year, it was Google Pixel 2 XL Screen Burn-In Problem along with many others.
