Google CEO Sundar Pichai kicked off the Google I/O 2018 event by addressing the audience regarding the impact of technology on our lives — mostly positive. He also underlined the company’s deep sense of responsibility while working with AI to empower the users and developers.

One of the first features announced during the keynote was the new AI-powered features coming to Google Photos. While this Google app already has tons of useful features, it just keeps getting better.

Now your pictures will be able to take the advantage of the Suggested Actions feature. It’ll let you get quick fixes like brightness enhancement, rotation, color popping, color selection, etc.

It can suggest sharing the pictures with friends and family by recognizing the people in them. Now your Photos app can also identify the documents and suggest you to convert them into PDF format.

The most amazing feature comes in the form of Colorize tool that’ll let you turn your black and white picture into colored images. So, now you’ll get the advantage of the neural network and re-colorize images. It’s worth noting that Google plans to launch this feature when it’s ready.

All the other new features of Google Photos will start to roll out to the users starting this week.
