Do you fancy Pixel phones but couldn’t get your hands on one due to budget constraints? Well, here’s good news for you!
Google is reportedly working on cheaper variants of Pixel phones to capture the emerging markets of mid-range smartphones.
The company has already targeted the lower end market with Android One and Android Go and is now planning to release budget Pixel smartphones somewhere near July or August this year.
We have already seen companies like Xiaomi, Oppo, and Huawei doing extremely well in the mid-range section.
With a Pixel phone along with some of its exclusive features (if not all), Google might be able to attract a wider customer base in countries like India.
According to a report by Economic Times, Google is aiming to carry out large-scale marketing just like Apple and Samsung and “will also expand distribution into general trade” in India.
In addition to this, the company plans to expand its retail presence in the country by bringing devices like Google Wifi and Google Home smart speakers.
Google Pixelbook, the premium laptop, and other intelligent home automation products such as doorbell, camera, alarm system, and smoke detector will also be launched in the Indian market in the next one year.
