First Xiaomi Device With MIUI 12 Out Of The Box Is Also The Cheapest

Xiaomi unveiled MIUI 12, the next big update to its Android skin, to its global users back in May. Since then, the Chinese tech giant has been busy delivering updates to the MIUI 12 supported devices.

As of writing this article, the update has landed on several high-end devices such as Mi 9T, Mi 10, Redmi K20/Redmi K20 Pro. Meanwhile, Xiaomi budget devices such as the Redmi Note 8 ProNote 7 Pro, Note 7/7S are still testing the update.

However, there is one Xiaomi device that needs no MIUI 12 beta testing, as the MIUI 12 update is available on the device out-of-the-box. The latest MIUI version will be up and ruining on the device as soon as you get your hands on it. I am talking about Redmi 9A, which Xiaomi announced last month, along with Redmi 9 and Redmi 9C on the global market.

Redmi 9A features a 6.53″ HD+ display with a waterdrop notch. It is powered by Mediatek Helio G25 chipset and has a whopping 5000mAh battery. It has a single 13MP AI rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. The device has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The model was priced in Malaysia at RM359 (Rs. 6,301).

The specifications are average, but they are justifiable for the price. Rumors are that Redmi 9A will soon arrive in the Indian markets.

Looking at the price, Redmi 9A is undoubtedly the first and cheapest phone to feature MIUI 12. This also bolsters the fact that Xiaomi has no problems in delivering the MIUI 12 to affordable devices.
