In the vast world of hard-to-repair smartphones, some manufacturers are offering fully modular, fully-repairable devices. One of those companies is Fairphone. The Fairphone 3 series was released in Q4 2020, and it did manage to grab some attention.
It looks like the successor to the Fairphone 3, Fairphone 4, is on its way as per the Wi-Fi Alliance certification and a Twitter user. In this article, let’s look at its leaked specifications.
Fairphone 4 5G: Specifications
The first and obvious improvement from the predecessor is 5G. However, we don’t know which SoC will be powering the device. The phone might come in two colors Dark green or Gray.
The display is of 6.3-inches, and there are two storage variants — 6/128GB and 6/256GB. The main rear camera is a 48MP shooter. The phone will be launched with Android 11, sadly.
As you can see from the images, the chin and the bezels around the screen are pretty huge. The phone looks unlike any 2021 flagship or even mid-range device. The phone lacks a physical rear fingerprint sensor.
Fairphone 4 Pricing
The listings suggest that the 6/256GB variant will cost 639 CHF (Swiss Francs) ~ $696. The price of the 6/128GB variant isn’t listed, but if we had to guess, it might come at 599 CHF.
