The Mobile World Congress 2018 is live. Samsung Galaxy S9 is the biggest smartphone launch of the event, but the Energizer Power P16K Pro is the literally a big smartphone with a 16,000mAh king-sized battery. That’s almost five times the size Galaxy S9+Â and iPhone X batteries.
The Android-powered smartphone, which weights 350g, can last for around five days after a full charge and provides a standby time of up to 40 days.
What’s more surprising is it can be charged in just 90 minutes via USB Power Delivery through its USB-C connector. So, in case you end up having this phone, make sure you don’t forget where you kept the charger.
However, this estimated charging time is for an early demo unit of the device. The actual details would be known when it goes into production.
On the specifications side, the P16K Pro runs Android Oreo on the MediaTek’s Helio P23 SoC with an octa-core CPU. It has 6GB of memory and 128GB internal storage capacity (expandable).
The camera department includes a 16MP + 13MP combination on the rear side and a dual 13MP + 5MP shooter on the front. The smartphone has a 5.9-inch IPS LCD with 2160p resolution (18:9 ratio).
P16K Pro is expected to release sometime in September with a price tag of around $500. Due to its weight and thickness, it might not be able to attract many buyers. However, it could be a viable option for people interested in long road trips and treks. It could also help binge watchers run TV show marathons on the go without breaking a sweat.
