Electronic Arts announced during its earnings call that the unlimited game subscription service called Origin Access Premier is coming for PC gamers on July 30.
Unveiled at this year’s E3, the new Netflix-like service is superior to the existing Origin Access subscription service which will now become the basic membership tier. This goes alongside another subscription-based gaming service called EA Access which is available for Microsoft’s Xbox One.
According to Variety, users will be able to choose between the $19.99/mo plan and $99.99 annual plan for Premier. Whereas the basic Origin Access is already available for $4.99/mo or $29.9/year.
What’s the difference between Origin Access Premier and Basic tiers?
The premier membership will arrive with all the offerings of the basic tier including access to the EA’s Vault games library, discounts on full-games, pre-orders, expansions, etc.
But it will also give “unlimited” access to new game titles instead of trials in the basic tier 5 days before the official release. The list includes FIFA 19, Battlefield 5, Madden NFL 19, Ahtem 19.
Once the game subscription service goes live, in addition to new users, existing Origin Access subscribers will be able to upgrade to Premier.
