Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 11, is all over the internet. It is bringing lots of new UI changes and features that people are really liking. Windows 11 for PC is great, but did you know that you can also try out the build on Microsoft’s discontinued Lumia 950 and 950 XL devices?

A developer named Gustave Monce has successfully managed to boot a Windows 11 ARM build on his Lumia 950 XL. If you own one of these devices, you can do it as well.

Windows 11 On Lumia 950 XL

Here’s how it looks on the Lumia 950 XL.

As you can see in the video, the phone’s running Windows 11 pretty well and can multitask. The OS is also able to use the accelerometer to be used in landscape mode. There is a delay in opening apps, but the UI is working smoothly.

If you own Lumia 950/XL and want to try out Windows 11, all you need to do is follow the instructions mentioned on this website. However, before you go ahead with the process, the installation involves unlocking your device’s bootloader. In the worst case, if something goes wrong, you might end up bricking your device. We are not responsible for any damage caused to your phone.

It’s amazing how developers figure out ways to get things to work on unsupported devices.

Do you still own a Lumia device? Share your stories with the device in the comments section below.
