Dell is back in the game with its Rugged lineup of laptops for enterprise users. Dell has been making rugged devices for years that house a decent amount of power and can work in extreme conditions. Likewise, the new Dell Latitude 5430 Rugged and Dell Latitude 7330 Rugged Extreme are its latest offerings in the Rugged lineup.

The new rugged laptops come with fairly bright displays, Intel’s 11th generation processors, hot-swappable batteries, and a bulky design. Mind you, it’s not a machine for regular users; the Rugged laptops are built for deploying remote workstations and endpoints for large enterprises.

Rugged laptops exist to be able to work without hassle in extreme physical conditions. Moreover, these laptops are physically bigger than regular laptops and can withstand extreme conditions or impacts. Dell’s new Latitude Rugged laptops offer the same while incorporating the latest hardware.

The company allows purchasing external docks for more ports (yes, there’s a Thunderbolt one), vehicle docks, and rugged handles and straps. You would expect accessories to make the laptop convenient to use physically if it’s a rugged one.

In addition, Dell offers various services on the software side to help set up and manage the laptops remotely with ease. Users can easily deploy the laptops and make them good to go.

Availability

The Dell Latitude 5430 Rugged and Latitude 7330 Rugged laptops will be globally available to order on December 9, 2021. These new machines will ship with Microsoft’s latest Windows 11 as their primary operating system. Of course, you can choose from a list of other operating system options as well.
