Debian-Based Simplicity Linux 2020.1 Is Out With Gaming Edition

A small group of developers headed by David Purse has released the new version v2020.1 of Simplicity Linux along with the new Blacknut Cloud Gaming edition.

Simplicity Linux 2020.1 replaces the X Edition with Gaming Edition that includes the Steam launcher. X Edition exhibits features that may or may not be included in a future edition.

Simplicity Linux 2020.1 is a lightweight, simple-to-use, and Buster Dog Debian based Linux distro; it ships with a Cinnamon desktop environment.

The latest version replaces the ALSA sound card driver with PulseAudio owing to the difficulty with few advanced applications.

If you don’t know, Simplicity Linux comes in three different editions: Mini, Dekstop, and X.

The desktop edition offers the preinstalled general-purpose software such as Chrome, LibreOffice, GIMP, and VLC. 2020.1 also includes the Catfish to search files in the system.

Mini is the lightweight Edition that features cloud-based software and preinstalled nominal applications.

And, as mentioned earlier, X edition is now replaced with a Gaming edition. Blacknut Cloud Gaming edition offers an Open Broadcaster software suite as well to record and live stream videos.

You can download all the edition ISOs from here.
