Babylon’s Fall is an upcoming action game by Platinum Games in collaboration with Square Enix. Although no release date has been set for the game, a new Babylon’s Fall SteamDB listing tells us that the game might be close to release.
With E3 coming up in two weeks, lots of games will be revealed alongside many new announcements. Moreover, some rumors are sure to come along. Similarly, there are rumors relating to a new Nintendo Switch Pro as well.
Meanwhile, with this latest rumor, Platinum Games less talked about, and a rather forgotten Babylon’s Fall seems to have surfaced back.
Babylon’s Fall – When was it first revealed?
Platinum Games’ Babylon’s Fall was first revealed during the Square Enix conference way back in 2018. That was when the fans saw or heard about the game that year. Furthermore, the first look at the game showed some fantasy elements and gave a vague look at the game’s storyline.
Interestingly, the game popped up next year during a Playstation State of Play event. This time with a gameplay reveal, giving fans a taste of what is under the game’s hood. The gameplay trailer of Babylon’s Fall introduced fast-paced gameplay and some more fantasy-filled elements incorporated with classic swordfight.
Sadly, that was the last of the game that anyone got to see. The game has seen some delays and setbacks in development, as the game’s development team was reported to be working from home last year.
While the game seemed dead to many, Yōsuke Saitō from Square Enix announced that the team is still working on the game and nothing much about the development.
Babylon’s Fall coming at E3?
If the rumors are to be believed, the game might reappear or be announced at the upcoming E3. A new SteamDB listing adds a closed beta test for the game—the SteamDB listing for Babylon’s Fall, which was last edited on June 1, 2021.
We suggest our readers take this news with a pinch of salt as no clarification or announcement has come from the developers.
