Chuwi RZBOX 2022 version is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU with Radeon RX Vega 8 graphics. Also onboard are 16 GB DDR4-3200 memory and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. Chuwi RZBOX 2022 is a high-performance mini PC specially designed for game enthusiasts; it brings powerful performance with future fast technologies to power everyday computing. Except for the CPU upgrade, the PC retains the previous generation’s design, and the price remains unchanged — 16GB RAM +512GB SSD for $699.
About its processor, AMD R7 5800H processor, uses a 7nm process, Zen3 core architecture; the number of cores is 8, the number of threads is 16, the base frequency is 3.2GHz, the acceleration frequency is 4.4GHz, and its core display is Radeon RX Vega 8 with 8 CUs and L3 cache size is 16MB. The thermal design power consumption of TDP is 45 watts.
Compared with the previous generation RZBOX which boasts AMD RYZEN 9 4900H, there is a specific improvement in performance, and it has increased by more than 15% in the single-threaded and multi-threaded benchmark tests.
AMD RYZEN 7 5800H has been used more in gaming laptops before, and the market has verified its powerful multi-core performance. The long-term performance sustainability of a mobile CPU tends to depend heavily on the cooling system performance TDP settings of a laptop.
The AMD Ryzen 7 is a marvel of a processor, with its unbelievably high scores, no matter the benchmark. This CPU trades blows with the likes of Core i9-10980HK and Core i9-11900H. Needless to say, 5800H will be able to chew through pretty much any workload imaginable for years to come.
The gaming PC comes with built-in 16GB DDR4 memory for SODIMM 3200MHz, and dual-channel memory expansion slots that support memory upgrades of up to 64GB (not included). You also get pre-installed the 512GB NVMe SSD which supports PCI Express 3.0 high-speed transfer protocol and read & write speeds over 2000MB/S, you can expand the storage via the dual 2280 M.2 slot to 2TB (not included).
The connection continues to use the most advanced AMD RZ608 WiFi module, which supports WiFi-6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.1; the port is the same as the previous generation.
Talking about the high thermal conductivity and heat dissipation, the Chuwi RZBOX 2022 small mini PC has a silent fan. It has a built-in high-efficiency copper tube cooling fan with a built-in brushless motor and three-dimensional air circulation to dissipate heat for continuous high-performance operation and a quiet CPU at all times. Still, it is almost quiet even when working on other heavy work.
At present, only the top configuration version is 16GB+512GB, and the price of $699 is the same as the previous generation. Chuwi will launch a low-end version in the future and plans to use Ryzen 5 4600H or AMD Ryzen 5 5600H.
