Xiaomi’s Black Shark 2 that debuted in the Chinese market in March, has now been launched in India. It is a full-fledged gaming smartphone featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with up to 12GB of RAM and a 6.39-inch full HD+ AMOLED display.
To ensure that the phone doesn’t heat during long gaming sessions, Black Shark 2 has a liquid cooling system.
Pressure Sensitive Touch Screen
The Black Shark 2 features a low-latency display that has a latency of 43ms to smoothen the gaming experience. To further improve graphics and interactive gaming controls, the gaming smartphone uses Master Touch – a pressure sensitive display that works similar to the iPhone’s 3D touch for haptic feedback.
Ludicrous Mode
Being a gaming smartphone, Black Shark 2 comes with a ‘Ludicrous Mode’ that allows players to play games at 100% CPU power thus offering a massive performance boost.
Other features of the Black Shark 2 include a 48MP primary sensor coupled with a 12MP secondary sensor. On the front, the smartphone carries a 20MP selfie camera. As compared to OnePlus 7 Pro, which features UFS 3.0, Black Shark 2 has UFS2.1 storage standard.
The gaming phone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery and supports 27W fast charging.
Price & Availability
Black Shark 2 is priced at INR 39,900 for the 6GB/128GB variant and goes up to INR 49,999 for the high-end 12GB/256GB variant. It will be available on Flipkart from June 12 onwards. The phone will compete with the likes of Asus ROG and RED Magic.
