Short Bytes: The popular torrent website Bitsnoop has decided to cease its operations. The website operators have announced that they have shifted the data to fellow search engine Zooqle. BitSnoop was already blocked by many ISPs across various countries and it was witnessing a drop in web traffic.Â
Bitsnoop, the popular torrent search engine, came into the existence in 2008. It continued to become one of the most popular torrent sites around and indexed about a million torrents.In a recent development, the operators of the site have announced that they are shutting down Bitsnoop after almost a decade-long operation.

“It’s been a nice ride, but all things eventually come to an end,” a message on the website homepage reads. “Thank you. We love you. We will miss you. Keep being awesome,” it adds.
First reported by TorrentFreak, this farewell message first appeared around April 1st. But, there aren’t any indications that it’s an April Fool’s Day prank.
The site operators also announced that the website’s data was handed over to a fellow search engine Zooqle, which is a newcomer to the torrent world.
