It’s possible to charge an iOS device using a power bank. There are tons of them that people can buy. But none of those portable chargers have been specially designed for Apple devices, until now.
Belkin’s new Boost Charge Power Bank 10K with Lightning Connector is an attempt by the manufacturer to spark the interest of Apple users. That’s becauseĀ it’s being marketed as made for iPhones and iPads.
The USP of this power 10,000mah power bank is that Apple has certified it under the MFi program. As you might be knowing, having an MFi certifiedĀ device means it’s tested for quality before getting a green signal from Apple. It reduces the chances of problems caused to Apple devices and helps in keeping the company’s brand image intact.
With the two USB-A ports present, it can be used to juiceĀ up two Apple devices at the same time using Lightning cables. The power bank has four LED indicators to depict the charge level. It’s available in white and black color options.
If we talk about iPhone X with 2,700 mAh battery, it could be charged almost three times using the power bank. The list of compatible devices also includes iPads as one of the charging ports supports 2.4 amps.
So, how much does it cost? The fancy MFi-certified portable charger can be preordered for $59.99.
