Assassin's Creed Valhalla Release Date Might Be October 16, 2020

Last week, Ubisoft gifted us with a trailer for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which looks spectacular. The game is expected to release in Holiday 2020, but, there’s no exact official release date as of yet. However, according to a rumor on Reddit, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla release date might be October 16, 2020.

The person speculating the release date states that a local store added Assassin’s Creed Valhalla up for pre-order. In the pre-order, the local store marked October 16, 2020, as the release date for the game.

Just after a few hours, the store replaced the exact release date with “coming 2020.” However, the Redditor took some screenshots before the date disappeared.

Later, he shared the screenshots with the moderators on Reddit for them to verify that the pre-order did mention that release date. The fact that a moderator confirmed the Redditor’s claims in the comments puts some weight on the rumor.

The Redditor also states that Ubisoft released the last three Assassin’s Creed games in October. So, the possibility of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also releasing in October doesn’t seem unbelievable.

Also, we know that Microsoft will show Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay at the Xbox Series X event on May 7. So, it is possible that Ubisoft is planning to reveal the release date of the game at the event. If that’s true, then, it’s also possible that retailers, including that local store, already have access to this information.

Even after all this, we can’t be sure about this rumored Assassin’s Creed release date. So, it’s better to wait for any official confirmation before getting our hopes up.
