Ubisoft has officially released the trailer for next Assassin’s Creed game, which is titled Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. The game is set to release this Holiday and is coming to Xbox Series X, PS5, PS4, Windows PC, and Google Stadia.
If you’re a fan of Norse mythology, then after looking at the title, you must have realized that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be set in Vikings Era. So, it seems like all the rumors that Vikings will get the spotlight in the next Assassin’s Creed game were real.
The story of Assassins Creed: Valhalla revolves around the time when Vikings reached the shores of England in search of land. However, the king of England sees Vikings as heartless barbarians who kill without mercy. So, he decides to kill every Viking who steps foot on England’s soil; however, the king didn’t know that Odin, the mighty Norse God, stands with Vikings.
In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, players will be cast as Eivor, a fierce Viking warrior who fights for glory with Odin by his side. The trailer flaunts Eivor as a male protagonist; however, Eivor can be played as a male or a female.
According to Ubisoft, “Political alliances, Combat decisions, and dialogue choices can influence the world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, so players much choose wisely to protect their clan’s home and future.”
Ubisoft announced the game yesterday in its 8-hour-long live stream which featured Kode Abdo, better known as BossLogic. Abdo completed a piece of artwork that flaunts the setting of the game, along with the main character of the next Assassin’s Creed game.
In the artwork, BossLogic wanted the main character to “feel heavy.” “This heavy burden that is asked of all the heroes throughout the Assassin’s Creed lore. The burden of a warrior, a hero, an assassin,” said BossLogic in the live stream.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available for pre-order now. The Windows PC version of the game will be available via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store. Also, the game will be included in Ubisoft’s Uplay Plus Subscription.
