Starting Tuesday, April 14, Assassin’s Creed 2 will be free to download for PC. This offer is available globally, so anyone can revisit one of the best Assassin’s Creed titles without paying a penny. In addition to that, the fourth installment of open-world Just Cause Series, Just Cause 4, will also be available for free on Epic Games Store from April 16.
The news for Assassin’s Creed 2 going free came from a German site, Bargains. Also, Daniel Ahmad, a senior analyst at Niko Partners, confirms that there are huge discounts on Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed Revelations.
The offer is separate from the uPlay Plus, Ubisoft’s subscription service, which already provides all of Assassin’s Creed titles. To claim Assassin’s Creed 2 for free, you need the uPlay Client that is only available for PC.
On the other hand, Just Cause 4 will be available for free on Epic Games Store from April 16 – April 23.Â
Just Cause 4 tells the story of Rico Rodriguez, a fearless agent who goes against the mercenary group, The Black Hand. The game is full of over the top action with a lot of explosions and gunfire.
Alongside Just Cause 4, Wheels of Aurelia, a visual novel and an adventure video game will also be made free on Epic Games Store. Wheels of Aurelia, which was released back in 2016, tells the tale of Lella and Olga, two young women on a road trip through 1970’s Italy.
Right now, Close to the Sun and Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments are free on Epic Games Store. However, these two games will be replaced by Just Cause 4 and Wheels of Aurelia to be the next free titles. According to Epic Games Store, free games will continue through 2020.Â
