If you think no electric car can look better than the Tesla Roadster, then I’d like you to take a glimpse of the Tesla Muscle-E electric car.
This roaring beauty was created by Sabarras Design to showcase what a Tesla Muscle electric car would look like in the future.
The artist thinks that electric cars have beaten Muscle cars in their domain of drag racing. The likes of Tesla Model S and Model 3, regularly obliterate Chargers, Mustangs and other muscle cars on drag strips.
To completely embrace electric cars as our future, the artist reimagined these cars in a design inspired by the iconic Corvette, Dodge Viper, and Camaros.
The designs were not simply eye-candy; he made them highly aerodynamic. This is to make sure the Muscle-E electric car has no problem destroying competition like its real-world cousin, the Tesla Roadster.
Here’s all that you need to know.
Tesla Muscle-E Electric Car: The Evolution Of Tesla Roadster
From the first look, you can understand that the artist has gone for a 2-door GT look inspired by the iconic muscle cars. The overall silhouette seems inspired by the Dodge Viper SRT, while the front end looks similar to a Corvette.
The artist has integrated the front LED strip into the front panel. The inspiration behind this design was the modern-day smartphones. Nikola Tesla’s obsession with the numbers 3,6, and 9 inspired the artist as well. He wanted to integrate the styling of the 60’s muscle cars while excluding their poor aerodynamics.
He also tried to make the Tesla Muscle-E electric car as wide as possible by adding air deflectors at each one of its corners.
At the edge of the rear end, there’s another vortex generator that further helps in reducing the drag. The wheels are 20″ at the front and 21″ at the rear. The artist has also imagined big and powerful brakes for the Tesla Muscle-E electric car as well.
Overall, it looks nothing short of the lord’s work.
Which Tesla Electric Car Is Next?
It has been quite a while since we saw a new Tesla EV. The current fastest, Tesla Model S, is several years old and in need of a serious update. Meanwhile, the Tesla Roadster is yet to go into production, and with the current pandemic situation, it is unlikely to do so.
Tesla recently launched the Model Y, and it has been selling like hot-cakes in the USA and China. In other words, the demand for a new Tesla EV is always there.
We believe the next EV from the American automaker shouldn’t be a full-blown electric hypercar like the Tesla Roadster. Instead, it should be something a bit tamed, affordable, and offers plenty of battery range—the true mass-market EV.
At least that’s what I think? What about you, how badly do you want this car to become a reality? Let us know in the comments below.
