While Apple is performing remarkably well in the MacBook Pro and iPhone sales, the long-lost MacBook Air has not been able to receive a sufficient amount of spotlight in the recent times.
But now, a Bloomberg report suggests that Apple is planning on releasing a low-cost 13 inch MacBook Air which will finally feature a retina display and thin bezels.
Apparently, MacBook Air hasn’t received any major update for more than five years. Although the insides have changed a little bit, the $1000 laptop has always stuck to low-resolution screen whereas Apple’s other products have already received retina display.
This case is similar to its standalone desktop computer – Mac Mini which hasn’t been given a thought since October 2014.
However, Apple is reportedly planning to improve its $499 box with new storage and processor options. The Mac desktop will be more focused on pro users which means you might see a steeper price.
And again, the Apple desktop doesn’t include a keyboard and a mouse. Having said that, it is always a popular choice among app developers and server farm managers.
Let’s see how the speculated prices turn out for the Apple product sales. Apple is expected to hold the iPhone event next month where we’d see a whole lot of exciting products.
Mac lineup, on the other hand, would come out following the release of the iPhone as witnessed in previous years.
