With the announcement of iOS 12 at WWDC 2018, Apple has brought improvements in many pre-existing apps including Stocks, CarPlay, iBooks, etc.
Here’s a brief account of all the changes that will be available from iOS 12 onwards —
Default App Updates in iOS 12
- Apple News
Apple News has been launched for iPad along with a new ‘browse’ tab on the side for quick access to favorites and other shortcuts. Many new improvements have also been brought to make the news consumption process more fun.
- Stocks App
Stocks app has been redesigned from scratch. The app, now, will be integrated with Apple News to bring you news about the stock market from around the world. Stocks app has been launched for iPad.
- Voice Memo
iPad users can now download Voice Memo app to record voice notes. Now, you will be able to sync your voice notes on iCloud
- iBooks
iBooks app has been renamed Apple Books and comes with the functionality to pick up reading from where you left last time. The interface of Apple Books store has been redesigned and resembles the App Store.
- Car Play
CarPlay app now supports third-party navigation support which means you can finally switch from Apple Maps to Google Maps for more reliable navigation functionality.
