If you are a Moto G owner, we are having a good news for you.
Today Motorola announced that it has started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Moto G (Gen 1) and Moto G (Gen 2) smartphones in India. The updates have also been rolled out for the Moto G (Gen 2) in the US.
With Android 5.0 Lollipop, Google is betting a lot on material design just like iOS 8. Now Android devices will have more fluid animations, a bolder color palette, clearer and neat design, a new and improved multitasking menu and enhanced voice interaction.
The Android 5.0 Lollipop update was already rolled out for Moto X users in India a month ago. The company sent the word out with the following tweet.
#Lollipop is rolling out in phases to #MotoG (2nd Gen) in US & #MotoG (1st & 2nd Gen) in India. Look for the notification on your device!

The update will be Over-the-Air (OTA). The update which is rolled out with build number 220.21.28.en.03 and it will be rolled out to all the users in different phases.
The update notification should arrive shortly to your Moto G device and in the meantime, you can check for the update manually.
How to get Android Lollipop 5.0 update for Moto G?
Go to Settings > About Phone > System Update
The company began a test program and preview of Lollipop OS for selected Indian Moto G users back in December 2014. During the program, some bugs were identified and they were taken care of.
