Last year, Amazon made significant gains in the consumer electronics market with its Alexa-powered Echo devices. To expand its reach to even more consumers, the company is working hard to integrate their voice assistant Alexa into a new range of devices. HP Pavillion Wave is one of the few devices in the limelight ahead of Amazon’s announcement of its partnerships at CES 2018.

Out of the big PC OEMs like HP, Lenovo, and Asus, HP has taken the first step and teased its HP Pavilion Wave system with Alexa for Windows 10. As per HP, this PC delivers a powerful computing experience and fantastic audio with the help of Amazon Alexa digital assistant.

This integration will be done using a new Alexa app for Windows 10 operating system. This app will be available in later months.

From the first look, Pavilion Wave Wave with Alexa for Windows looks like a speaker with a custom LED to indicate Alexa and its state at the top. To make the hands-free experience more seamless, Intel and Amazon engineers have worked together to optimize Intel Smart Sound Technology to deliver a 360-degree audio experience.

According to VentureBeat, Alexa in PCs will bring up visuals for completing requests. It’ll also bring additional support for Alexa-PC integration for making calls and sending messages.

At CES 2018, expect more digital assistant-related announcements from the companies like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft.

Stay tuned for all the latest CES 2018 updates.
