The year in consumer tech has started with a bang at CES 2018. At the event, Acer has made an impressive impact with its three updated launches. The most notable among them is Acer Swift 7, which is thinner than its previous iteration.

Acer claims that Swift 7 is the world’s thinnest laptop at just 8.98 mm. For this comparison, Acer has considered the clamshell laptop designs in the market with macOS and Windows. The upgraded laptop has a 14-inch Full HD IPS display technology and Corning Gorilla Glass NBT touchscreen.

In case you’re worried about the performance and power of this thin laptop, keep those worries aside. Acer Swift 7 is powered by an Intel 7th Gen Core i7 processor. It’s a Windows 10 always-connected PC with all-day battery life and 4G LTE connectivity.

Apart from a Nano SIM card slot, Swift 7 has the eSIM technology, which allows one to download/activate eSIm profiles. The other connectivity option available is 802.11ac wireless with 2×2 MIMO.

You also get 256 GB of PCIe SSD storage and 8GB of LPDDR3 memory for fast and responsive performance. For better security, this unibody aluminum chassis machine has a fingerprint reader and Windows Hello support.

The laptop starts at $1,699 and it’s expected to be available from March.
